Medium power APS for 3.0kV traction DC-Link

The 3EM MS-150F-25D and 3EM MR-150F-25D auxiliary converters are specifically designed to be connected to the high voltage traction DC-Link.

The APS supplies galvanically isolated 400V@50Hz three-phase AC + neutral to the train's auxiliary loads, providing a total power of 150kVA, and to the DC loads (essential and non-essential) plus the battery charging at 110Vdc, providing a total power of 25kW. The equipment efficiency is 92% from 50% to 100% load.

The APS can be installed under the rack or on the ceiling. The APS is cooled by its integrated fan, which circulates air through the IP20 enclosure using magnets and heat sinks, while all electronics and other components are installed in a clean IP65 section.

The converter is equipped with an external 415Vac@50Hz AC workshop power module. This module allows the battery charger and other AC loads to be powered without using the high-voltage power supply. The converter also integrates a pre-charge circuit and an input filter.
