Under-rack installation

The 1CT MS-160F-25D auxiliary converters are specifically designed for railway vehicles that operate on 750Vdc supplied from the catenary.

The APS supplies galvanically isolated 400Vac@50Hz (3 phases + neutral) to the train's auxiliary loads, providing a total power of 160kVA. It also supplies 110Vdc for the train's essential loads, non-essential loads, and battery charging, providing a total power of 25kW. The equipment's efficiency is 92% between 50% and 100% load.

The APS is installed under the rack and features forced ventilation via a special fan. All magnetic components are located in an IP20 enclosure, while the remaining electronic circuitry and other power components are installed in an IP65 clean compartment, both cooled by the fan.

At the same time, it is equipped with an external workshop power supply of 400 Vac@50Hz, which is converted to 110 Vdc for the train's emergency circuits. The converter also integrates a pre-charge circuit and an input filter as part of its power electronics.
